Our default experience with the mind is something that t e buddha called monkey mind, right? That our mind is just is bouncing around and is restless and is full. But if we sit for a while, we cultivate a meditation practice, over time, we begin to notice that all of this activity ... they are arising in a context. Thereh's got to be a holding environment in which they are arising. And in in the practice of buddhism, we think of that holding environment as the space in the mind.
