The Role of Dopamine in ADHD
The prefrontal cortex handles all of our cognitive and executive functioning. Things like focus and motivation are highly impacted by that particular dopamine pathway. People with ADHD also end up usually having other comorbidities, meaning other issues that go along with the ADHD. For example, there's a high chance of ending up with Parkinson's when you have ADHD.
