The Opposite of Mechanical Medicine

Some people have the idea that the body works in the opposite way from new mechanical medicine. They think that if you put the muscle in a disadvantage position, the body will somehow activate the muscle to a greater extent because it has an advantage. That's how silly it's going to get if you extend that argument to its logical conclusion. Why would the nervous system allocate more and more unit recruitment and activation to a muscle that has very poor leverage?
