Sometimes parents want to do everything for their kids, says Butte. You're teaching an element of independence by letting them make the decisions. If you don't teach em independent, they're going to be having a very hard time in this life. They have to learn how to be strong at the same time and know how to make the right decisions  and avoid the wrong decisions. Choose the right movies to watch with your kids.
