There are other techniques in cryptography that have similar properties. I could encrypt my data with one key and swap the records. You can then encrypt my data second time, even though they've been encrypted in different orders. The match itself tends to be performed in kind of a batch fashion, but it can be repeated. And ideally, you have all of that automated.
