The Importance of Volume in Cycling
I don't think there's one approach with cycling that will get improvement. You've really got to look at okay what's an athlete's weakness on the bike and what's holding them back so even you know throughout my own career as an age group but I was lucky to have a coach who was just very volume based. And then when I switched to someone like Matt Dixon who was very much about strength endurance and key intervals I felt like the two combined to help me have a few really good years there on the bike. There's no doubt if you can get up to that 90 100 kilometre a week run volume it's great but I find if you start doing it week in week out
