The Differences Between Chemical and Physical Sunblocks
The chemical sunscreens were the first one to be developed in the 19th century. They use a photochemical, different chemicals, which absorb UV radiation. The physical sunscreens tend to be zinc and titanium and they just reflect it. So there's two different approaches. But my own feeling is that people are too concerned because we've used these things for half a century without problems.
