Does It Really Improve Performance?
The only thing that we were left with was it had to be something absorption-related. We then started to look at, okay, is there something we can do about it? Can we speed up absorption? And by working with different types of carbohydrates that use different transporters in the gut, we were able to find ways. So once we had established that, it was like, okay, now we know a mechanism how to improve this. What's the best way to do it? What combination of carbohydrates and how much should we give?"
