If you're not getting messaged back, I would start to reassess who you're swiping on. Sites will try to show you other people that they think are actually attainable for you. It's quite a different situation though when you think about other types of platforms that are using collaborative filtering like on Amazon because your purchases don't have to be approved by the site. So it's a different kind of experience.
