When i'm in the soup market, mostly the people that are wearing masks are or elderly people. They're much more at risk of succumbing to it and dying than i am. Even though they wear their masks, they're not protected unless i wear one too. So my selfishness. If you can't afford a mask, get a large sock, cut a hole, putit, wear a scarf,. Any covering that will prevent spit from leaving your mouth. Wear a face covering when you're gone outside. Don't be worried about thinking you're strange or thinking you're weird.
