What to Do When You Don't Know What to Do

A lot of that comes out of kids who don't know what to do when they face something difficult. And instead, there's a glimmer of some bad emotional feeling, like inadequacy. So if we could work at, if we could go into that discipline problem at the level, one of the ways into that is talking to kids about how to deal with it. In that process talk with kids together, trying to figure how to do something difficult, that's where they start generating meta cognitive ideas for themselves. It's just internalized, useful talk thot you can activate inside your own head.
