Machine Harvesting Versus Hand Harvesting
The tipping point for the machine picking is when we move from harvesting clusters to harvesting berries because at that point the machine becomes more performant than the hand harvesting. The manual labor does not pick berries they pick clusters and may remove a wing on the cluster or cut off some rot but they will not affect each berry so that sorting is becoming extremely accurate. Sometimes it's done actually on board meaning those sorting machines are associated on the same machine than the picking machine. It can be in individually assessed by a machine it can be done either by some mechanical sorting equipment or by no optical sorting equipment.
