The Third Provocative Argument Is That Digital Play Is Different Than Analog Play

A lot of the way we derive game studies from play theories or play studies comes from implicitly, explicitly assuming that hoisin hak was right. In this one I'm kind of like going in and there's a chapter, chapter four in the book, where I made the claim mimicry is way more important in digital play than agonism. We cannot understand our life in the digital world without mimicry. And agonism, while important, is secondary to mimicry. That means, or it should mean, a massive shift in how we study digital play.
