How to Train a Pixie for a GC
The way I look at training is about different energy systems. So you need to be very good at that, what is called the oxidative energy system. And then not as important, especially for someone for a GC like today, you need to improve the sprint capacity. But since it's not, and that's another energy system, and since that is not as important for today, it tends to do that in the competition. Several days a week, we train at the zone two, several days a week,. We specifically either specifically train the glycolytic capacity, or we build a glycolytic training within a session of zone two.
