I wish that someone would have shared with me when I started racing, which was to protect my mentality as you move through training and cycling as a whole. Protecting your mentality from making you feel as though that process of improvement makes you less than. There are always opportunities to grow and get better and get faster. And it's so easy to slip into a mindset of that makes you not enough or not good enough when it should be.
