The Role of Suppressive Therapy in PGI

Sarad: I think that the role of suppressive therapy is to give ortho-id docs angst and something to argue about. The quality of data in the space is poor maybe a dozen retrospective case series and cohort studies most with sample sizes between like six months to several years. My approach to suppression is to have an individual risk benefit discussion with the patient which means there's some bias that's sort of baked into that literature. If you want to get even more into the weeds, listen to this episode of Sarad on 31 October at 8 p.m. ET/PT or go to www.saradonews.com.
