Now, I'm delighted to introduce our guest for this month. Professor Helen Lachman completed her medical degree in 1992 in the University of Cambridge and her MD from University College London. Helen works as a professor and honorary consultant and foreologist at University College London.

Helen specializes in amyloidosis and the auto-inflammatory diseases. She has published widely and her main scientific interests are focused on the phenotypic characterization and treatment of acquired and hereditary forms of systemic amyloidosis and the genetics and management of the inherited systemic auto-inflammatory conditions.
