Laziness is why we are a dominant species because we didn't want to do the work. So you have willpower, but you can use laziness. It's built into your system. You're not going to get rid of it. Like if you leave your body, you won't be lazy, but then you won't have a body. And I think you mentioned a word which was very important and many of us forget is stay curious.
