The Evolution of Muscle Damage
The process of hypertrophy involves splitting those myofibrils into smaller ones and then building them back up. The muscle damage process involves completely removing a damaged myofibril. And so one of the places I think has been completed is that you have an increase in muscle protein synthesis.
