"If you're noticing that your breathing is getting a little bit faster and upper chest, just focus on the exhalation," he says. "It's really about focusing on the ex inhalation for the body to tell the brain that everything is okay." At 9,000 feet, oxygen levels are less than what they would be at sea level.
