If you're struggling with technology adiction, i know it's got noneven a diction. I think that the better you are, if you're not really struggling with an ediction, the deeper you have to go in order to really understand yourself and move forward. So very practically, what i would do is start with open ended, non judgmental questions. You can't cure someone of an addiction without their help.
