How to Resuscitate a Patient Who Is in Shock

If the blood pressure is low, your first step should be to restore their blood pressure while also thinking about the underlying process. Your patients may also be febrile, suggestive of an infectious source or sepsis. Next, you'll want to assess your patient's IV axis. Is your axis peripheral or central, such as a central line or a pickline? We will discuss treatment a bit later in this podcast.
