The Differences Between China and the Soviet Union

There are huge differences between not just China and the Soviet Union but kind of the world of 1947, let's call it in 2023. The nature of the regimes are somewhat different even though they're both communist regimes. These foreign policy is ideologically infused but not in the same way that sort of Marxist Leninist concepts of global revolution infused Soviet foreign policy under Lenin and Stalin. And so for that reason I actually feel the US is better placed vis-a-vis China than it was against the Soviet Union in 1946.
