The Importance of Fun on the Journey

You have to somewhere along the line change your intention or change your reward need for instant gratification. There has to be a sense of intention and follow through that requires a level of willpower. If you're having smoothies rather than hard boiled eggs, if you find that it's seeding your hunger that you actually enjoy it, you're less likely to trip up. You can even incentivize yourself by creating what economists call a commitment device.
