Is Russia Fearing US Missile Defenses?
Russia and China are developing weapon systems specifically designed to get around US missile defenses. Russia has 1500 deployed nuclear warheads on the strategic level; China has 1000 tactical nuclear weapons. Part of it is maybe they're building up some bargaining chips to trade away, part of it might be a military industrial complex run amok. And there is also reason to believe that China would be vulnerable to a very effective precise US first strike using nuclear conventional and cyber weapons.
