Are We Teaching Our Children to Excel?

Every child, just by the virtue of going through school, is being told to excel somehow. But do they really? My wonderful daughter aanied to to score in geography, for example. At no point were we taught to deal with rejection - even though that was invariably going to be part of that whole journey. We don't prepare them for that. And yet, the frameworks that we measure success on and are all, in my opinion, all wrong. I i find that we are probably renaming the same things but the underlying causes are still the same.
