The Importance of Expectations in Diablo 4
Diablo has been a series for such a long time that we have players who played it, who played Diablo two or played Diablo one or played Diablo three. We wanted to look at what things from those past games need to be in Diablo four so that those expectations from all those players can be met. So when we thought about the mood and the tone and the art style of Diablo four, we thought about that dark Gothic style from Diablo one and two and then we wanted to preserve kind of that painterly timeless element as well.
