Introduction
Releasing trauma means helping your brain more effectively recognize contexts when you're safe. You don't want to be on fear autopilot all the time. Trauma experiences associate many stimuli with threat, causing people to feel constantly unsafe and on guard. Releasing trauma does not mean that trauma isn't part of you. It will always be a part of your narrative. What you're doing is changing how your past trauma impacts your future.
