The evidence we have is it's not about if you're heavier that you place more load on your tendon, therefore you get a tendonopathy. What we think is happening is you're heavier and you store your fat centrally if you're a man,. That's the thing that really influences the tendon. It's not to do with just mechanical loading. If there is no way in low back pain, we would have a single treatment option for all the different presentations of low back pain. And yet we seem to think that it's acceptable in tendonopathy. I don't get it.
