When we are dealing with what comes up as it comes up, then the accumulation doesn't build up. For me, when I hit recovery, there was such an accumulation of psychic injury that had been both caused to me and I had caused to myself. The most popular mode is repression, stuff it down, not today. There's a third option that we're not shown so much, which is learning how to hold our experience. Just be with it. Just bring compassionate space to it. Let it take you for a moment. Be in it.
