The Effects of Fat and Sugar on Satiety

When we combine fat and sugar, it short circuits the mechanisms in our brain around satiety. Ice cream is the ultimate obesogen because it is essentially like breast milk. I think that if you construct a ketogenic diet without dairy, you're much more likely to be successful in terms of weight loss with that diet. But for most people, I don't recommend dairy on a carnivorous diet. There are other ways to get calcium that there are no nutrients that we really need in the milk and the dairy and it does hijack these satiated mechanisms.
