What Is a Microbiology Course?
Tuberculosis was viewed as almost a romantic disease at the time. Robert Koch's wife gave him a microscope on his 30s, and he used it to examine everything he could think of. He developed germ theory after witnessing war firsthand in Germany during the Franco-Prussian War. This experience provided some of the basis for his belief in germ theory but also resentment toward Louis Pasteur.
