In the space of all possible worlds, we could have found supersymmetry already at the LHC very easily. The fact that we haven't doesn't mean it's not there, it's maybe less likely that it's there. It's easy also to imagine theories where supersymmetry is real and we just haven't seen it yet. I should say another aspect of this is that many implementations of supersymmetry produce a candidate for the dark matter called the neutrulino.
