Is the October 7 Commerce Department Order Really Targeting China's Ability to Produce Extremely Sourcing Chips?
The October 7 Commerce Department order basically destroys China's ability to produce extremely sophisticated chips that they might want in some scenario for like, you know, autonomous swarms of drones. In other words, the Chinese are fine. Their national security is fine. They can flatten Taiwan with weapons produced in the 80s and 90s. So I would expect more Commerce Department orders on pharma, on trading in public equities and private investment in China but we're probably at the end of this particular one.
