The Challenges to Ontological Pluralism
I reject that change is the actualization of potential by an eternalist hat on change. This commitment to enact potency analysis of change faces a difficulty because it explicitly commits to ontological pluralism. No potential can be actualized unless something already actualizes it, which means all change is caused by something already actual. And so anyone who's mounting this analysis of change would have to would have to defend the negation of eternalism. So the burden is on them to show that that's a false view. It could very well be a mixture of act potency and actually actualizingpotency. Nothing follows about whether this thing's existence is purely actual or not. In our book we argue that
