The Importance of Real Time in Strategy Games

I've never beaten rogue except in testing when I was you know taking advantage of some bug or wizard mode but as a normal player no I don't have the patience for that. With more modern things with more modern equipment and not keyboard commands but joystick or controller commands it becomes a hand coordination game. Feels to me like well then you're just being mean. You know what you actually accomplish and what you intended to accomplish are not necessarily the same thing. When you get excited in the heat of battle you hit the H button twice in a row, right without checking your stats in between. And you know then you die.
