The Importance of Virtue

Since ancient times, people have strived to train and control the forces that reside deep inside them. Marcus Aurelius famously described a number of what he called epithetes served him well as emperor. Confucius who advised many of the rulers and princes of his day said a leader was well served by the pursuit of virtue. The essence of greatness is the perception that virtue is enough.
