I learned about Othlet through your work. I had heard about Bush in lots of places. But it does feel like Othlet was a predecessor there, and Bush's work is widely acknowledged as a predecessor. One of the things that this points to is something that strikes me as foundational to the book: A distinction between networks and hierarchies.
