The Relationship Between Recovery and Preparation

If our preparation has been very short, let's say six weeks together, as ready as possible for a 50K or whatever. I think it takes less recovery compared to maybe a full three or four months preparation where we had time to complete all the specific training blocks living up to our goal. So probably the recovery period should be longer. It really depends on how you're able to execute the race itself and how things go on the day of the race.
