God's Slow Anger Is Surrounded by Compassion, Grace, Love, and Faith

Forgiveness is a decision to let go of justice on your own terms and instead let God handle justice. It doesn't mean you have to be in close relationship with a forgiven person. Unforgiveness eats away at our souls and drives a wedge between us and God. As followers of Jesus, when we acknowledge the insurmountable debt that was paid on our behalf, it leads us to humility. Like God, we are called to be slow to anger.
