The Importance of Returning to Running After a Soleus Injury

In steady state running at six meters per second, it's been measured in the vicinity of 12 and a half times body weight load. The soleus simply doesn't have the capacity to withstand such high loads, says Tender. Early post-injury injuries can be prone to recurrence as soon as we return to running or early in the running rehabilitation phase. A critical time point when we're managing these injuries is the return to running.
