There's an idea out there that if I stretch before I train, it's going to reduce my power and also my strength. But you would have to stretch for a pretty long time for that effect to take place. The research backs up what you said about the myth of static stretching prior to training causing hindrance because those studies were done on extremely long duration stretches. If you do some static stretches and then say 10, 15 minutes later, the impact on your performance will be negligible.
