The Importance of Rotation in Tai Chi
I think it's a pity that there's any kind of idea that one is sort of better than another. They can help each other, to some extent. For example, take another, just a simple physical process of the knee action in Tai Chi. Now, if you bring that understanding, that subtlety of rotation into it from the Alexander Technique, I think you'll make a better job of your knee going to the outside of your little toe. This is important in the working with a partner. It's a kind of self-defense aspect.
