The Importance of Meta Rationality in Politics

The Bayesians are more likely to be kind of like, Oh, I don't want to necessarily risk my life for this. And so the rational choice is not to lose the war. That would be irrational and can I say stupid in this case? Because losing a war is kind of stupid, right? If you go to win, sure. Only if you're close to win. So it's instrumental rationality. But when the goal is changing people's minds or getting people to come out to vote or something like that, sometimes being false actually helps with that.
