Niantic Laying Off 230 Employees and Closing Studio in LA
The company behind Pokémon Go is laying off 230 employees, 95% of its workforce and also closing its LA studio. The CEO stated that the company allowed the expenses to grow faster than the revenue. They plan to focus on first party games and embody the core values at Niantic. And then they also plan to adopt a more direct results space culture, streamlining processes and decision making.
