Is Plato Exploring the Connection Between Virtue and Knowledge?
Plato's investigation into knowledge is dominated by socrates, all the way through to theitetus. To what extent do you think hat he is just working out the implications of something socrates seems to have thought? For example, if i'm courageous, that means that i know what to do in battles,. or i wigty it means that i knows what courage is. So we need that it works as a kind of challenge. It says, well, all right, soif that's one way of understanding the relation between virtue and knowledge, you'd better be able to say something pretty interesting.
