What Should I Be Thinking About When Hiring an Accountant?

What should i be thinking about when considering hiring an accountant like that? I've gone through good, bad, ugly and great. What what would you recommend your want? You've been in it, you've trained many, you've been around the block for a while. And if one guy decides to change careers, at least the company still holds the takes carria as a client of states with them.
