Is It Extrinsic?
If i say to my son, if you get at least the three point five g p a, i will buy you a car, is that extrinsic? Why? That's obviously extrinsic. But is that a bad idea? It all depends on a few features. If your son or child has intrinsic motivation to begin with, you should always be careful,. Because i do believe that you could crowd these things out. And you cold not only crowd em out during the task, but i think in the future, it's potentially that like pavlov's dog, right?
