Ligaments go between joints to increase stability of that joint. If your ligaments are more lax, then there isn't as much stability in the joint. So if you've got ligament laxity and we'll just keep it to the feet for now, that will affect the stability of the TASO metatarsal joints and the metatarsophalangial joints.
