How to Motivate Alternative Learners to Do the Tough Things
Interest stimulates motivation and there are two types of motivation. Extrinsic motivation refers to an outside request, reward or responsibility that depends on achieving a goal. It takes kids with ADHD longer to get moving and to get engaged in the task because there's no clear immediate satisfaction for those less interesting tasks.
